In music, portamento (plural: portamenti, from Italian: portamento, meaning “carriage” or “carrying”) is a pitch sliding from one note to another. [wikipedia]
For use with polyphonic instruments and effective as a function to switch between mono/poly with portamento on your instruments like synthesizer. Interestingly, there are almost a magazine for everything and anything, looking back in the history of design of synthesizer and keyboards. The more you understand the collection of type of style and instruments available, or perhaps understand Moore’s law to begin with in computer science. There is a lot more to offer your knowledge of music production process and computer music production generally. From example the Japanese company Korg first building of this Donca_matic DA-20 and others more modern and monsterious machine Korg (PS)UVS-3200
The term originated from the Italian expression “portamento della voce” (carriage of the voice), denoting from the beginning of the 17th century its use in vocal performances….
Some colloquial equivalents are slide, sweep (referring to the ‘discrete glissando’ effects on guitar & harp respectively), bend, smear, rip (for a loud, violent gliss to the beginning of a note)…
A synthesizer (often abbreviated as synth, also spelled synthesiser)
Synthesizers use various methods to generate electronic signals (sounds). Among the most popular waveform synthesis techniques are subtractive synthesis, additive synthesis, wavetable synthesis, frequency modulation synthesis, phase distortion synthesis, physical modeling synthesis and sample-based synthesis. Other less common synthesis types (see #Sound synthesis) include subharmonic synthesis, a form of additive synthesis via subharmonics (used by mixture trautonium), and granular synthesis, sample-based synthesis based on grains of sound, generally resulting in soundscapes or clouds.
What I generally find time in producing is not just playing music in my studio or trying to sell records or dj mixing, but understanding this genre of production knowledge is extremely difficult to understand why everything sound the same. And created my record label NLS Records.
Reinforcing the idea of conceptual sound and don’t just project what it is that you want.
There are just no time to chase for tech to trade for a living instead of gravity.
He is not in this game of chance but knowing that there are matters that is more interesting than the string of time and whatever meaning you’ve got it is a reality and metaphor.
Brimming with offbeat beauty, Elusive’s new album Textures features a unique electronic warmth that is created with an infinity of unusual sounds. Dissected vocals and the crackle of lo-fi static permeate the release with layers of soul, a showcase for Elusive’s artful, abundant and multi-layered approach to production. With over 20 releases in his collection since the ‘90s, Elusive has personified instrumental music culture in California for two decades now. Textures comes at a creative spurt in his career and has a breakthrough sound from beginning to end.
released February 26, 2016
From the producer’s choice, this last year release from Alpha Pup a Los Angeles based label with hundreds of releases have really made my grade of finding that unique off-beat arrangement that I nearly experienced an anxiety lathegicism. But once you started to listen to the quality of vinyl recordings, you will notice there are sight difference between digitalism and analogue format in hybrids. Like the bridge of hydro in the 90’s when the compositions is all about experimental sound and LA beat’s scene is although a bit of an hidden gem. It is still alive and kicking, and very much looking forward to watch the live set of Elusive, and even listening to the dj set somewhere in downtown L.A.. Just keep an eye out for this artist if you are in California or at an ACE Hotel downtown.
Post-war Britain rebuilt itself on a wave of scientific and industrial breakthroughs that culminated in the cultural revolution of the 1960’s. In this atmosphere was born the Electronic Music Studios (EMS), a radical group of avant-garde electronic musicians who utilized technology and experimentation to compose a futuristic electronic sound-scape for the New Britain.

Eoghan (Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhride) is returning to Ireland for the first time in 15 years to accept a job offer: to find and record places free from man-made sound. His quest takes him away from towns and villages into remote terrain. He becomes drawn into a series of encounters and conversations which divert his attention towards a more intangible silence, one that is bound up with the sounds of the life he had left behind.

**Review from The Observer**
In this highly praised movie by the Irish documentarist Pat Collins, an uneasy mixture of fact and fiction, Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhríde, one of the film’s screenwriters, plays a sound recordist making a journey across Ireland to revisit his home on the remote Tory Island off the coast of Donegal after an absence of some years. Along the way he solemnly records natural sound, has unrevealing, unremarkable conversations with a not especially varied variety of folk he meets along the way, some of them Gaelic speakers. There are interesting images, some of them from the archives, but he and the film got nowhere that stuck in my memory.
There are some wide open soundscape, and a place like Ireland, the unsettling life from becoming drifted in sound, sounds wonderful to me.
In the world where we believe the lies holds the final judgement of the truth, and the truth will foretold the how to preceive the world but nothing as the truth. Yes we might have all been smitten by the outcome of the journey into the **fictionless world of jubilee.**
